CaseMark for Court Reporters: From Proceeding to Portal

When we first shipped CaseMark for Court Reporters, the promise was simple. Take the transcripts you already produce and turn them into summaries you can sell. That was real value, and firms used it. But it was also a feature, not a platform.

The product we are announcing today is something larger. CaseMark for Court Reporters is now a full matter production and delivery workspace. It is where your firm opens a matter, captures and transcribes the proceeding, runs your quality control, produces work product your clients will pay for, and delivers all of it through a portal that carries your brand and not ours.

This is the idea we keep coming back to: the agency is the platform. Twelve court reporting firms are already live on the new platform, running production and client delivery in one place. Here is what changed and why it matters.

The matter is the unit of work

The old way of working scatters a case across email threads, shared folders, FTP sites, and a spreadsheet someone updates when they remember to. The transcript lives in one place, the exhibits in another, the summary somewhere else, and the client status update in your sent folder.

CaseMark replaces that with the matter. You open a matter once, and everything attaches to it: source files, recordings, transcript work, generated results, bundles, and the record of what the client can see. Your production team gets one view of what is in flight, what is ready, and what is waiting. Your clients never see any of it until you decide they should. The matter is the operating unit, and the rest of the platform builds on top of it.

Interrogate across your transcripts

Some of the most valuable work in litigation support is buried across testimony. A single answer in one deposition contradicts a statement in another. A timeline only emerges when you read four witnesses side by side. That work has always been slow, manual, and expensive.

CaseMark lets you ask questions across dozens of transcripts in a matter at once, in plain language, and get answers with exact page and line citations. Find contradictions between witnesses. Build a chronology of events across multiple depositions. Pull every admission on a single issue. Draft cross examination questions grounded in the record. Every answer points back to the precise testimony that supports it, so nothing is taken on faith. What used to take a paralegal days becomes a conversation that takes minutes.

Transcript QC that shortens editing time

Editing is where reporters lose hours. Every transcript needs a careful pass for misheard terms, inconsistent spellings of names and places, and the grammar and punctuation that separate a rough draft from a clean record.

CaseMark runs automated terminology and grammar verification on the transcript so that pass starts from a much better place. The system flags terms to confirm, surfaces inconsistencies, and checks grammar before a human ever opens the file. The reporter stays in control of every decision. We simply cut the time it takes to get from a raw transcript to a clean one.

To be clear about something that matters to this profession: CaseMark does not certify transcripts. Certification belongs to the court reporter, always. What the platform does is help reporters reach that moment faster and with more confidence, by handling the mechanical review work that does not need a human and leaving the professional judgment where it belongs. You enter your certification details and produce certified output in the formats your clients already expect, and the certification is yours.

AI transcription, from audio and video

A transcript has to exist before any of this can happen. CaseMark generates draft transcripts directly from audio and video, so a recording becomes a working transcript inside the matter without a separate tool or a separate handoff. From there it moves straight into review, QC, and certification, all attached to the same matter.

Coming soon, we are adding synchronization between the transcript and the video record. That opens up the next layer of work for firms: producing designation clips and trial ready video exhibits from a synced transcript, without exporting the case to yet another piece of software. We will have more to share on this shortly.

Productize your services with workflows

The summary engine that started this product is now a marketplace. CaseMark draws on more than 880 workflows available through agentskills.legal, the open registry of legal AI skills, and any of them can become a service your firm offers.

Deposition analysis, page line summaries, narrative summaries, medical chronologies, trial digests, arbitration and hearing summaries, and a deep bench of insurance and claims workflows like claim intake structuring, demand review, and outside counsel invoice audit. You can install workflows for your whole firm or configure different workflows for different clients, so a carrier client and a defense firm client each get exactly the deliverables they want. Your expertise becomes a catalog you can sell, not a process you rebuild by hand on every case.

A branded, two way client portal

Your clients log into a portal that looks like your firm. Your logo, your colors, your domain, your sending identity on every notification. CaseMark is invisible to them.

It is also no longer a one way download page. Clients can open the work you have made available, download deliverables and bundles, and upload their own source materials when you allow it. They can manage their own users and groups inside their organization, so the right people on their team get the right access without a support ticket to you. And they can ask questions of the work you delivered, with the same page and line citations your production team relies on. Delivered work becomes interactive, not just downloadable, and every bit of it carries your brand.

Capture the proceeding

For firms that want it, CaseMark can also bring the proceeding itself into the matter. You can invite a recorder to a live proceeding, and the recording lands directly in the matter, ready to move into transcription, review, and certification. It is one more way the work starts and ends in the same place.

Deliver with control

Delivery is where most platforms get sloppy. They send a folder and hope for the best. CaseMark gives you object level control over exactly what each client can see.

You never send the whole matter. You make individual items available: a certified transcript, a summary, a bundle, a single source file. You choose recipients by organization, by group, or by named person. As more work becomes ready, you send updates. If something needs to come back, you pull back availability. And you can see engagement, including views, downloads, and the questions clients are asking, so you know your work landed. Unfinished production work stays in your workspace, and only what you choose ever reaches the portal.

Pricing

Pricing is built to match how firms actually work. Pay per use is available for firms that want to pay for the work product they generate as they go, with no commitment. Platform pricing is available for firms running steady volume that want predictable costs and the full branded experience. Both run on the same platform, the same workflows, and the same security.

Built for security and scale

Court reporting firms handle sensitive proceedings every day, and the platform is built for that responsibility. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Every firm is fully isolated, so one firm's data never touches another's. Your documents are never used to train AI models. CaseMark is SOC 2 Type II audited and HIPAA compliant for firms working with medical records, with role based access and complete audit logs throughout. Learn more at our trust center.

Who this is for

CaseMark for Court Reporters is built for court reporting and litigation support firms that want to do more with the matters they already handle. For the firm that wants to offer premium AI services without hiring. For the litigation support team drowning in depositions and trial transcripts. For the independent reporter who wants to compete on more than turnaround time. For the agency that has decided it is not just a vendor in the supply chain, but the platform its clients work in.

Twelve firms are already proving it out. The agencies that move first will define what every client expects next.
